About Us
The coffee we're sourcing is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, home to the tallest mountains in the world. Nepal's climate is well suited to high-quality beans: cool, dry winters and warm monsoon summers that bring the reliable rainfall cherry development depends on.
Nepal has a youthful, enthusiastic and fast-growing coffee culture that remains largely unknown in Europe. We want to bring that community, and the premium product at the centre of it, to Britain.
We're in active conversations with several suppliers of varying readiness, from established exporters to newer producers. These span coffee-growing districts across Koshi and Lumbini provinces, including Gulmi, Bhojpur, Ilam and Solukhumbu.
Between them, our suppliers offer a wide range of processing methods, including washed, natural and yellow honey. They grow predominantly Arabica, with some Robusta at lower altitude in parts of Koshi Province.
Across our current sourcing, growing altitudes run from roughly 800 to 1,600 masl (metres above sea level). Higher altitude slows cherry development, concentrating sugars and producing denser beans.
We're looking to partner with local roasters who are as excited about Nepalese coffee as we are.
